Maths Teacher/Tutor - Full-time - Special Needs Position

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational teacher to play a key part in the teaching of Maths in our special school for pupils with behaviour and learning difficulties (SEMH).  You will play a key role in the school as we strive to further develop numeracy across the curriculum. 

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an outstanding classroom teacher who can inspire and excite students about their learning
  • Be confident with the use of data for tracking student progress
  • Possess relevant teaching experience

The post is enhanced by a Special Educational Needs Allowance.

Behaviour Support Worker - Term Time - Special Needs Position

Are you interested in supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties?

We are currently looking to recruit a Behaviour Support Worker who can bring enthusiasm, passion and experience to our school.

Rowhill School supports pupils with behaviour and learning needs. Approximately two thirds of pupils are of secondary school age; all pupils have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) with their primary need being social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). A significant number of pupils also have additional needs associated with, for instance, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), communication and interaction, or speech and language needs. Many students will have experienced adverse childhood experiences.

This role involves working directly with identified individuals or groups of pupils, to help overcome barriers to learning, improve behaviour and raise achievement. You will liaise with parents, appropriate agencies and the wider school community to support all concerned and be the lead of the schools’ Behaviour Team.

The following attributes are desirable:

  • Relevant experience working with children
  • Experience working with special educational needs
  • Ability to develop professional relationships with pupils and staff
  • Strong communication skills

This is a Temporary Position until 31/8/2024
