WORLD BOOK DAY 9TH MARCH 2018

On 9th March 2018 Rowhill celebrated World Book day.  There were trips to Waterstones at Bluewater and this was very positive.  Over 60 pupils enjoyed the experience.  The pupils were given a book voucher each and they traded this for a book at Waterstones.  We had a cake sale and the children came into school dressed up as their favourite book character.  There was a prize of £10 for the best costume.  The winners were Sophie Crane in primary who came as 'puss in boots' and Jamie Clark from secondary who was dressed as 'Captain Jack Sparrow' well done.  It was a joy to see so many of our pupils reading in the drum in the morning.  We aim to continue and develop pupils reading this way by encouraging this each week.
