  • COVID Update - Class closures

    Published 11/07/22

Rowhill School has many COVID-19 cases in the Primary phase of the school. This has resulted in 50% off staff being absent within the Primary phase of the school. Therefore, we have had to take the action to close some of the Primary classes each day. We have made this decision based on advice from Public Health England and on the grounds of Health & safety.

The closure schedule for next week is outlined below.

    Classes closed this week.

Tuesday 12th July Eagles & Sharks.

Wednesday 13th July Scorpions & Sharks.

Thursday 14th July Elephants & Pythons.

    Friday 15th July Eagles.

If there are further closures for the last week of term then we will inform you of them as soon as possible. We know that you may find Covid-19 being in the school concerning, but we are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with the UK Health Security Agency. This letter is to inform you of the current situation and provide advice on how to support your child. Please be reassured that for most children, coronavirus (COVID-19) will be a mild illness.

  • Anti-Bullying Survey

    Published 01/04/22

Every child in the school completed a paper based survey on anti-bullying. For safeguarding reasons Cathy W and Sarah G analyze learners answers to ensure that any concerns raised are dealt with effectively. The learner's answers are then entered online for Salus to create our anti-bullying survey report.

We have recognised that the learner's perception of what bullying is, may not always be accurate. On-going sessions through PSHCE will continue to address this. Many of these learners when talking to or answering questions in the survey refer to previous experiences of bullying, which happened at their previous school prior to joining Rowhill School
